-RESPECT & CRAFT-

At the frequent request of many participants I ask that special attention be paid to the following. As with any collaborative art form, cooperation and respect are absolute requirements. Do not simply doodle any old thing on a jam page. ESPECIALLY if the artists before you have obviously taken great care with their panels.

If you are at a loss as to what to do, or otherwise don’t feel up to it put the page down and try something else, or go get a drink at the bar, it may not be your night to jam. If you attend a Jam where supplies are supplied respect those who hold the event buy using them well. By this I suggest something that is at least a notch higher than random wild formless scribbling that you might find in a toilet stall at McDonalds. Beyond that, it's even more imperative that you respect the Jam it's self, by helping to give it form, rather than trashing it.

Please don’t be afraid to work on something that you feel represents the work of more or less experienced/talented artists. Just work to your strengths and think before you start.

It only takes one unconsidered and half assed panel to ruin a page and sour the mood of several participants.

So, now your armed with as much as you need to know to take part in a jam, maybe to much even...so forget it all, grab a pencil and a pen and get to it, and remember - it may be art but it should still be fun.
