First, this just in from David Bacha
Hi,
Way back in the winter of 1999, a small bunch of us made a short animation that i like to call, "Spoons In the Couch".
It’s now featured on zed.ca, drop by and have a peek. Don't forget to log-in and vote for it!
peace, david
I just watched this, it’s a lovely short film, spend a moment to watch this, you won’t regret it.
Also if you’re looking for something to do this Saturday night (19th), Andy Brown of Conudrum sent in this reminder…
Hey all you Montrealers,
Just a reminder that the Perpetual Motion Roadshow pulls into town on Saturday night at Zeke's Gallery (3955 St. Laurent) at 7:30.
Corey Frost and Marc Ngui will be performing with The World Provider and Charlie-Girl Anders. If you missed Marc Ngui's performance at his launch here is your second chance.
Apparently the tour is going well. From Brooklyn to Cincinnati to Cleveland to Chicago so far, and then Toronto, Montreal, and Boston. You can listen to the gang as they call in their tour diaries at the Roadshow's site. Corey missed a few dates cause he had bronchitis and Marc had trouble at the border.
Anyway check out the Mirror today for an article and interview with organizer Jim Munroe.
Hope to see you all there!
Andy Brown
If for no other reason you should try to get out to this for Ngui's performance! I caught it the first time around at his book launch, and it was wonderful, no shit. His comics get ten times better (that’s saying something, considering) once you can hear the characters voices. Here are a few photos from the Launch
