Martyrdom
Stepping up to represent the more than prodigious Metal/Goth scene in Montreal in the comics’ medium is martyrdom.ca.
A new publisher/anthology magazine working under a indy variation of the WFH model with all the stories so far being contemplated by Martyrdom publisher Pierre-Luc Therrien set within a self contained ‘universe’, the publisher is offering themselves up as a gateway for artists who want to break in the american comics industry or who would like some more exposure.
Some decent art to be found on site, haven’t seen the magazine yet myself. Looks so far like a fair grassroots level publishing venture, ideal for those looking for a ‘first step’ opportunity to get a little experience. But take note, martyrdom’s submission guidelines insist that you “Send ONLY art samples of [featuring] OUR characters.”
