We’re launching a new Distroboto machine!
Come to the launch part on Wednesday, August 18, at  Le Cheval Blanc, 809 Ontario E. (corner St. Hubert, one block from Berri metro.) The party starts at 5 p.m. and will go until 1 a.m. Admission is free, and entertainment will be provided by Les Abdigradationistes and Matt Lederman (from Moondata Productions). While there, you can also savour Le Cheval Blanc’s selection of draft beers, brewed right on the premises!
Featured as one of the “Ideas of the Year” for 2001 by The New York Times Magazine, DISTROBOTO machines are former cigarette machines which now dispense local music, art and literature in the form of small books, comics, CDs, cassettes, fridge magnets, buttons and other hand-made products. All items cost just $2, and all profits go straight to the artists!
More than 150 artists have sold over 10 000 items in the past three years in our ther machines (located at Casa del Popolo, Petit Campus and La Salla Rossa.)

ATTENTION! : Lancement machine Distroboto!
Il nous fait plaisir d'annoncer que le réseau de machines distributrices de culture Distroboto lance une nouvelle machine à Montréal!
Le nouveau Distroboto sera installé en permanence au bar Le Cheval Blanc, 809 rue Ontario E. Le party de lancement se tiendra entre 17h et 1h le mercredi, 18 août au Cheval Blanc. L’entrée est gratuit, et il yaura des performances par Les Abdigradationistes et Matt Lederman de Moondata Productions.
Choisi comme une des « idées de l’année » en 2001 par le prestigieux journal The New York Times, DISTROBOTO est le nom qu’on a donné à des machines distributrices de cigarettes qui vendent maintenant de l’art et de la culture, et non des cigarettes. Ainsi, ces machines vendent donc des petits livres, des bandes dessinées, des mini-CDs, des objets d’art originaux, des cassettes etc., tout à seulement $2! De plus, les profits des ventes vont directement aux artistes!
