Local zine publisher and promoter Christine D. [Le Petit Marakkesh] is interested in literary publications, perzines and comix, or publications printed on special paper / bound in a creative way. She is also looking for patches and buttons to add to their stock.
Contact her before sending your item if the cover price exceeds $5, and e-mail first before sending patches, buttons, or CDs.
If your publication / item is accepted, she will be place an order for a small number of copies - they do not work by consignment, but pay upfront by check in Canada, and by cash in the US. And ask for a 40% discount on the cover price. Update letters are sent two or three times a year to let you know how things are going, if she has any reader feedback about your zines, etc.
Don't forget to include sufficient postage if you want your copy to be returned if they choose not to carry it. Otherwise, it will be kept in my Special Publications archive (hoped to be turned into a zine library someday!).
Your publication will be brought to Expozine, Canzine, Ottawa Small Press Book Fair, Anarchist Book fairs, Streeteaters Artist Market, as well as many zine fairs, small press gatherings and community events across Canada. It will also be listed in the Le Petit Marakkesh catalogue.
