Finding tranquility in labour, I was plastering the bathroom, doing the final work on the corners by hand today when I realised that it being 7:30, I had missed the jam today. Totally forgot about it. Good thing I think actually. Was nice to just relax. posted by max at Saturday, September 25, 2004 0 comments 24.9.04science stuff is fun! And this is interesting, hey guys, you should listen to this, apparently genetically you have as much in common with any give woman as you do a chimp! Numerically speaking that is…..hmmmm. Before anyone gives me grief for that go listen to it, it’s interesting really. And I think the lady the talked to in the piece is just a tad bit sexist eh? I may not be a PHD but i know we don’t bloody well know enough about what exactly all the genes do to declare anything junk just yet honey. posted by max at Friday, September 24, 2004 0 comments 22.9.04for a.j.
I hear that you cry. I do to But somehow I don’t think your crying over me. You are probably crying over the feeling of greater loss and hopelessness you so often tell me of now I cry for the loss of you. Simply you Your morning smiles, a rare breed last seem on a lazy Sunday in bed Your loving hands on me without hesitation, your warmth and closeness, your big eyed looks of love and admiration, all last seen or felt almost to long ago to recall already. posted by max at Wednesday, September 22, 2004 0 comments 17.9.04Some old stuff [‘97] scanned for the first timeposted by max at Friday, September 17, 2004 0 comments 14.9.0410.9.049.9.04Red Room Our new Red kitchen floor as snapped by a.j.
We've been getting some stuff done finally, I finished plastering the bath today, need to put in new Gyprock for the ceiling tomorrow and paint it up this weekend. comments out are out of action, hollscan disappeared? bah. posted by max at Thursday, September 09, 2004 0 comments 8.9.04Sketches and old stuff
Taking a short brake from plastering the bathroom, was listening to this an edition of To The Best of Our Knowledge on from Wisconsin Public Radio [via the web], very good, check it out!
Some sketches from my new book. Picked it up at my favorite shop in TO, then made my way to a nice patio and started drawing. Met an interesting traveler on the back patio of a market cafe, calls himself ancient Clown. Plays the guitar, makes little trees of life out of wire and lives by a creed of take what you need and no more. Had a few interesting chats with the guy.
totally out of left field but not, some old stuff I don't think has ever been put up online, or at least not in the last 4 years anyway. The first is something I did for Jay Stephens aka SIN, but for some reason, kept forgetting to send him. Hey jay, if you want I can send you a high-rez copy of this scan, let me know. The other is a cover from my friend Z's zine. Both done in 97' just before I moved to Montreal.

Just got back in from Toronto. I'll have some pics to post from the con last weekend, and other assorted ephemera to post. But I thought i should point these out right away. First, that interview with Chris Arrant i mentioned last post was put up on Newsarama a few days ago, you can read it here, it's a good one I think, and despite some comments to the contrary posted there I’m happy with how I was able to articulate my reasons for doing the book and what it's all about. Also i found this recent review of RevolveR by Erin M. Schadt on The Comic Queen blog.
Also you'll find my Zen looking mug posted amongst the pics here on CBR from the Toronto comic Expo, as well as here at Tyrone McCarthy's Corduroy High site. posted by max at Sunday, September 05, 2004 1 comments
