Bellow we have the SSS Comics booth,
whom iv never heard of before! Hum, that VHOST on their site is really Kind
of annoying. Good luck with the computer their guys.

Bellow we have Nick Postic & Nick Marinkovich, two Toronto-based artists
with a dark moody watercolour style whose work include the well received Underworld Movie Adaptation, the prequel series UNDERWORLD: RED IN TOOTH AND CLAW from IDW Publishing and Digital Webbing
Presents: LEVIATHAN.

Over on the end of artist Ally I found Evan Munday, pimpin' his books, The Amazing
Challengers of Unknown Mystery!...

And next to him Shawn Richter, of VOX LONDONIUM 'DRIVE' from FREQUENCY
PRESS.

Above an impressive Goth display, next to Andy Lee, Modern
ZEN artist.

And on the other side, Stuart Sayger, creator of Shiver In The Dark

Above we have the modeling work of Alex Avelino [DPK] laid out along side the art of Alexander Perkins [seen here bellow] - thanks to Tyrone for the info on these!

At the end of Sunday the retailers looked pretty wiped. Asking around it
seemed to be the consensuses that it was an OK show for them but not a blockbuster
or anything. Above we see Christopher
Butcher of the Beguiling
looking like he's about the keel over, lurking behind him is Jonathan Ellis of Popimage.com, with whom I had a nice lengthy chat at my table earlier, got to know both guys a bit better. Jonathan picked up two copies of RevolveR, here's hoping they do a little write up or something. I also passed Chris one for previewsreview.com hoping the same.
Below Chris picks up some books from
Nick Craine, so if you want to get any of his work I have it on good
authority that the Beguiling is fully stocked. They have Nick's
CD too I think, which is very good, I've been listening to it all week.

Dave
Ross [who really needs a proper web site of some kind] seemed to be in
good spirits, though he's still a bit peeved at CrossGen for continuing non-payment
of a pile of work he did for them just before their little meltdown. Seems
they're paying the people working on stuff now, but still haven't caught up
with the outstanding IOUs from the time frame of their restructuring.
Boooooo CrossGen.
Right now he's got some really sweet stuff coming from DC in June, in BATGIRL #53; Written by Dylan Horrocks [nice!]. Dave
pinch hits for the issue for Rick Leonardi. He had some copies of the work on
hand to show. Damn but does his stuff ever look good when he gets a 1st rate
inker! Very cool looking action comic.
Also he told me he has something coming up right after that will be colored
strait from his pencils. For those of you not familiar with them, Dave is one
of the tightest pencilers in the world. Unbelievably precise work. All it
ever needs is the levels tweaked and Voila! You got finished art! But this will be the first time that's what's actually going to happen.
My first
paying gig in comics was ghosting on some Clock and Dagger stuff for Dave as an assistant,
during a deadline crunch. It was an educational expedience. Be interesting to
see how that comes out.

Bellow J Bone and B Clay More make faces at each other....it was near the end
folks, so they're giddy with exhaustion. It had something to do with one of
them being a monkey I think...

And finally, the last Viking. As we all slowly dragged our carcases Sean Ward, Hype mister
and one of them young guys barrelling up the pike making the slow sharks nervous
was still going strong, making a scene with his magazine, THE SEAN WARD
ELECTRIC COMICS FREAK-OUT.

I stopped to have a chat after snapping these. Sean’s a cool cat, and a sharp
cookie to, I think. Keep your eyes peeled, his comics aren’t too shabby
either.

And the last word goes to Walter Dickinson and Kevin Boyd, two of the
organizers [amongst many] of this year’s event. Who both seemed fairly
pleased with the way things went if not exhausted by it all. And that's all
folks, now go read some comics!
